Fred and Anne Marie Malara are the owner’s of Mid-Town Custom Equipment and the business was started 30 years ago and originally located in Middletown, NY.  It was then moved to Montgomery, when a larger facility became necessary.   Clients who have known us over the years really love our new facility.  Mid-Town has clients that have been with us for our entire business life and are expanding our client base every day.

Here at Mid-Town you will find a very personable, caring atmosphere to help you through this time in deciding what you really need in a vehicle to make your life easier and make the outside world more accessible.

In Mid-Town’s waiting area, they have a shelf that holds thank you notes from so many of our clients.  These clients have taken the time to personally write, and even make by hand, a personal thank you note for what they have done for them.  Mid-Town takes great pride in their customer service.  Mid-Town feels that they are there to help their clients in anyway that they can and to get them into the correct vehicle or install the correct equipment that will give them the accessibility that they need.

Over the years Fred has attended many seminars and certification classes to keep up with the ongoing changes in the industry.  Fred has also been certified in welding since there are times something very unique may have to be custom made for a specific job.  You can never tell Fred that something cannot be done, he will make it happen.  In this day and age, certification is a very important factor in the industry.  Most companies will not sell products to installers who do not keep up with their certifications. 

This is why Mid-Town is so very different from other conversion shops.  We have been told over and over again by so many of our clients how easy we made it by leading them, step by step, to make the best decision.  Anne Marie is also known as the entertainment committee at Mid-Town because while clients wait for their vehicles, whether it is for service or for some type of installation, she likes to chat with everyone and make them feel at ease while they are there.  Both Fred and Anne Marie have also become friends with many of our clients.  One couple, who travel quite often, send us a post card every time they are away to let them know where they are and what they are doing.  And we love to hear from them!  Another client brings doughnuts, bagels, or chocolate every time she comes just to say thank you.  We have been to many birthday parties and barbecues over the years because our customers mean a lot to us.

Mid-Town is the place to go when you need some guidance in what direction you need to take regarding your mobility needs.  Mid-Town is there Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm and by appointment on Saturday.  However, if these hours do not accommodate your needs, we are flexible.
